The agenda for this term

"Moving on Theatre Company" will be coming to our school with a new play "Food for Thought" on Wednesday 16th of December. There will be two shows, one at 11 and the other at 19.00. The show, as all those who came last year will remember is easy to follow and appropriate for students at basic and intermediate levels, although advance levels are also welcome.

The Coordination is also organizing a visit to MUVIM. In the above link you can download the audio file with an introduction to the visit.
Those interested should ask their teacher or contact the Department Coordinater at the blog address.
There will be a Guide in English and no entrance fee.
The permanent exhibition includes the main thinkers since the Middle Ages to the present day Darwin, Diderot, Marx, Einstein, Freud, etc.). Besides there is another exhibition of Valencian Design. There is the possibility of taking photographs of the labels of the posters with your mobile and translate them in English or, alternaltively write inspired captions of the ones you like best..

As the groups are limited to twenty people, we have to organize the visit in advance in order to book with the Museum, so, please, let us know your name and the best time and day for you. The visits will be between the end of October and beginning of November.

Finally, those who love OV films have the option of watching Tarantino's and Woody Allen's last releases at UGC, Babel or Albatros. Check with the daily paper for times and theatres. all of them have discounts with the EOI student's card!

Hi!
I'm Beatriz Pascual Benlliure, from L1 10 and I really tink these activities will help us to improve our English skills although at the same time I have many troubles with the timetable because I have classes during the evening and also I have to go to other clases at EOI, so it's really difficult for me to do to this activities. I'm really interested in cinema so if I couldn't go at the end I could watch it at home.

Hi, I´m Salva Garcia from M1 NA1.
I ´m very interest in this kind of activities, because I think these tasks will help us to improve and to connect with our classmates.
In the other hand, this activity is atractive for mes, because i like a lot this museum. I have been three times to the Muvim, to see different exhibits about graphic design.

Hi, this is Sara from M1. I think this is a very good activity which should be promoted by other museums.Although I am not convinced at all about the MUVIM's ideas, -because they put "Reason" on top of human happiness and, as far as I'm concerned, racionality has done, unfortunately, many disasters trouhgh history -, It can help, I'm sure, to improve our english.

Hi! I'm Inma. I think we have interesting tools to improve our english but, from my point of view, the main problem for us is the availability of time. For example, I can go to the museum because I have another class before. However, another possibilities like cinema are very useful. The raison: there are a lot of shows. We can go al the afternoon, at night... And It would be nice to watch Tarantino's films. I have already watch the last, Inglorious Basterds, and I want to watch it one more time but now in english.

Hello!
we're two students in M1 12 English class. We think watching OV films is a good idea in order to improve our English. Having cinema's discounts is very interesting. Cinemas like Albatros, Babel and UGC offer discounts and this is very useful because we're students and we have no money!
Thank you for the information.
See you soon!

Hallo, everyone!
I have just hear the MUVIM activity file, and I think it would be a very useful task for all of us.Specially for people who likes History and want to know diferent cultures in depth. The audio file remarks a lot of different aspects of the exhibition, that may complete our baggage on culture.
I am sure I am going to join to this activity!
I have always wanted to go to this museum!

I am very pleased with this kind of extra-activities, as it may help to bring english language to everyday's life.
By the way, I would like to travel to New York, but it will depend on the price of the plane ticket.
I surely will like to go to the MUVIM, as (I am sorry to have to say it) I haven't visited it yet. I will be a very nice occasion.
